Herdís Hlíf
Herdill is a Reykjavík based visual artist born in 1999.
She graduated fram Iceland University of the Arts in 2023.
She mainly works in classic figurative, renaissance-esque oil painting with focus on technique and strong references to art history.
Her work often revolves around sex, self image, dreams, the subconscious, complex feelings, vulnerability, death, femininity and the experiences of women with visuals that border on timelessness but are interrupted with details referencing the present.

Myndræn miðlun um umhverfismál fyrir ung börn,
Herdill, amongst two other students, Eyþór Andri Sváfnisson and Eva Baldursdóttir, wrote and illustrated the childrens' book "Mjálmar" which was published by Stundin in November 2021.
